These are pictures of our FTC meetings every week. Every Week our team meets up on Saturday at SAIC, and we build robots, post weekly, and more. As you can see, in the pictures many people are doing different things. There are people that build, program, drive the robots, and manage our teams FTC social media accounts ( public relations ). All jobs take different skills, but together we create great robots that we bring to competitions to compete with other schools and their robots. People that build the robots follow instructions to build it, and the people that program the robots program them based off of the structure. Teammates that drive the robot, drive them at competitions where our robots face great obstacles. People that are in public relations post pictures on our blog and are there for their teammates for moral support. At FTC its all about collaborating and communicating while we work, and to HAVE FUN!
We are very grateful for PG&E and Playing at Learning for supporting our journey in First Lego League and First Tech Challenge. Playing at Learning is a non-profit corporation who is dedicated to turning around America's growing critical lack of qualified workers in STEM careers. They are also very dedicated to motivating youth into exploring careers in the STEM workforce.
We would like to thank PG&E and Playing at Learning for their support toward this seasons registration fees.
After our FTC team built our K9 Rover we put it through the ultimate test. We turned it over to our FLL team members. If it can survive them it will surely survive a trip to Mars!
To prepare our campers for competing on an FLL team in the Fall we offered Lego's Space Activity Pack. This challenged them to design solutions for the missions, build the needed attachments, and finally complete the missions.
On one of our final days we encouraged everyone to compete to see who could complete the most challenges. Two of our campers answered that challenge and experienced what it will be like in a real competition!
